Here are some of our favorite beauty tips to keep your skin young and healthy:

1: Stay hydrated and take plenty of water!

This does not mean soda, caffeine or other types of liquids, although they are low calories. Soda (also diet soda) is high in sodium. Sodium preserves fluids. You need fluids that will release and hydrate your body from toxins. Make sure you drink at least 8 glasses a day!

2: Protect your skin from harmful Ultraviolet (UV) rays.

 We all love the sun. We love to live in it and have a beautiful body. The truth is that you can poison yourself in high sunlight. Skin cancer is caused by UV rays and if it does not deteriorate badly, it can make your skin look youthful, contributing to unsightly wrinkles. If you are essentially playing in the sun, make sure you use enough sunshine. Don’t leave home without it!

3: Keep your skin clean.

 Use a soft warm cloth. No need for scrubbing of the skin. You do more harm than good if you do.

4: The best treatment for wrinkles is to never put them in the first place!

If you are like most of us, you have not listened to her when she asked you to stay in the shadows, stand upright and be sarcastic!

5: Eat healthy.

 Knowing how and what to eat can make a lot of difference in how you feel. Improper eating can lead to depression, weight gain, illness, and total lethargy.

Losing weight will stretch your skin. As you grow older it loses elasticity and you burn out of the skin. The best solution is to maintain the right weight.

Eating habits have a rule of thumb.  don’t eat more calories than you eat. Do not go for at least 30 minutes a day without doing anything extra and physical. It could be a three to ten-minute walk. Or 30 minutes of powerful aerobics, or 12 minutes of weightlifting and 18 minutes of walking.

6: Don’t worry, be happy.

There appears to be a happy mechanism to stimulate the release of endorphins. Endorphins relax the cardiovascular system and cytokines that alert the immune system to care for abnormalities such as cancer cells. Listen carefully to yourself.

 If you have been depressed since childhood, messages of negative apathy will benefit you by turning you into a pessimist.

 Spend a week writing down the phrases you use in your “self-talk”. You are likely to repeat over a dozen phrases that reinforce the negative image. If you know about them, you can change them. Exterior beauty and inner happiness go hand in hand.

Here are some quick tips to increase happiness, hope, and optimism that doesn’t work according to your age:

  • List at least 50 great things that happen to you every day.
  • Have a lot of laughs. You fix your body and mind.
  • Find a new challenge every month.
  • Try to meditate for just five minutes each day.
